a city or an older 2700 sq.ft home in British Columbia with mountain and ocean views what woud you choose and why?

I would definately go with the ocean views......New homes all look a like and that home will be very expensive to maintain.....But a home with a view is unique and the energy you have while living in it is beyond discription.....I live a home with an amazing view of the city and its about that same size, 2,700 sf......Everyday I wake up and see the views, I am so happy I bought it.....I love my home and I look forward to coming home everyday.....Its truly peaceful and makes me feel good.....Go for the views!

That is easy take the view and stay away from the city. The home in the city might be bigger but it doesn't mean better. I have lived both in the city and in the beautiful country where the scenery was beyond belief and I would give anything to have that back. I live in a quiet neighborhood but it isn't like I can sit out and just admire the beauty that God created. The serenity alone, just starring at the ocean or the Majesty of the mountains brings a peace that passes all understanding and boy what a stress reliever it is too.

I would choose the newer 4200 sq ft because I like newer homes which are updated and don't need to worry about fixing things. Plus, it would be nice if we had that much space for the family. Everyone can clean their own places.

the 4200sq. ft one in the city I moved to a small town from a big major city and almost every day of my life I miss the fast pace and the get up and go trade in the ocean view for the city life

2700 sq ft with the views. 4200 sq ft is a lot of house to clean!!!!
It also depends on family size. If I had four kids, I would choose the bigger home.
