It's a tie. Women lie to cover up things to spare feelings. Men just lie about stupid things they've done. If everyone were to answer this truthfully, being that we've all told our fair share of lies in a relationship...then one has to ask....why on earth are we lying to those who are suppose to love us in sickness and health, for richer or for poorer, etc. Seems silly...but thanks for pointing it out. I now know I should have told my husband that his plumbing skills weren't up to par and I didn't dare let him go near the pipes with his wrench, rather than telling him I wanted to call the professional because he didn't have time. Point taken...thanks.

It's horrible to say, but I think it's the wives that can lie better. Women have more well thought through ideas than men do...most of the time. From personal experience I'd say that men just do things not thinking of the consequence...women think of the consequences and have a planned strategy before doing whatever it is they would have to lie about. Sure, either way lying is not good, but it happens.

Men lie even when the woman knows the truth. Women lie and the man will never suspect a thing, so i say the wife would lie better. But hopefully if you are a wife or husband you never lie to your spouse.

Men probably lie more but usually are not very good at it. Women on the other hand, maybe not as much but they are better. They plan stuff out and put a lot of thought into things. Men just screw up and try to make up something afterwards. Usually getting us in more trouble.

This all depends on the person themselves. I really do not know as there is on solid answer to this one. Both can lie pretty good if they want to and if they practice and do it enough they can actually be really good at it and be really believable about it. This is what is scary as then can convince you of something with a straight and honest look to their face but they can be telling you a bold faced lie while doing so.

Neither men or women have the monopoly of being the better liar. The skill is none gender specific and very individualized.
I don't do the lying thing but I am very good a catching the cat with a mouse tail sticking out of its mouth.

i think both men and women are very much capable of lying when it comes to personal matters or just in general. people lie for lots of reasons, doesn't matter the gender.
