On the first day there are 27 possible different types of breakfasts, and 4 are chosen without replacement.
On day 2, there are 23, of which 4 are chosen.
3: 19
4. 15
5. 11
6. 7 (of which 4 are chosen, leaving 3)
7. 3 Not enough, one must overlap.

Thus, they can only go 6 days before repeating a breakfast.

There are 27 possible combinations of breakfasts. There are 4 people. So if you divide 27 by 4 you will get 6.75, making it 6 and a bit days. Therefore, on the 7th day someone would have to repeat one of the breakfasts.

I think thats right :P
