In nor-cal, you have quite a few options:
The largest is either squaw(lake tahoe) or mammoth (near yosemite) both AMAZING
The most family like and with a awesome park is Sugar Bowl.
Boreal is the least expensive I believe and has a good park and decent freeskiing..

Badger Pass by Yosemite is supposed to be terrific

Try going to someplace in lake tahoe...like "sierra at tahoe"

i don't board but all my friends do we like to go to sugar bowl, homewood, and kirkwood idk if that helps but that's where we usually go they have some nice terrain parks and also just some good runs.
