I know so many talented older people who would love to be able to do what these young people are doing. I think it's age discrimination and I don't think it's right. I'm older and could out perform at least 7 of the girls that were on tonite.

It's just not fair. They need to start one up with older people. They had one on for a year, Junior Idol or some crap like that, didn't go over well. Shouldn't they give us old farts a chance. I'm not that old, but well over 28.

I completely agree with you. What do you think about us starting a letter writing campaign to some of the American Idol advertisers telling them that we're disappointed that they support age discrimination and wish they'd support a show that featured older people? I haven't watched American Idol in so long that I don't even know who advertises on it anymore but that's the way to get to them, hit them in the old pocketbook! After all, we "older" viewers spend a lot of money, too!

Yeah, I totally agree. Since this is ultimately up to the American people, I say let us decide whether we want someone old or young. It is our decision afterall. I hope they either get rid of the age limit, or start up a different one which would allow older people, and if they do, I wish you luck!

I agree too! I thought the show was about singing talent not age. Someone should do something about that discrimination.:-(
