Collect LIke TERms. 2t and 5t are LIKE TERMs. Thus,
7t-3=0
add the 3 to the other side:
7t=3
divide.
yOU get 3/7 as your answer
3/7 = t

First combine like terms, which 2t+5t=7t
So now your equation is 7t-3=0. I believe add 3 to both side, and it will cancle out the 3. So your equation would be 7t=3. Divide by 7, so your answer would be 7/3.

I don't think this equation is factoring.

do you mean 2t^2?

If it's just 2t + 5t - 3 = 0, then combine like terms to get 7t + 3 =0, then subtract 3 and divide by 7 to get t= 3/7

If it's 2t^2 + 5t -3 = 0, then you can factor it to

(2t -1)(t + 3) = 0

then you set each to 0

2t - 1 = 0
2t = 1
t = 1/2

t+3 = 0

t= -3

so your answers would be -3 and 1/2

s.....
if u mean that 2t^2 then
(2t -1)(t + 3) = 0
2t - 1 = 0
2t = 1
t = 1/2;
t+3 = 0
t= -3;
so the answer willbe 1/2 and -3...........

and if u r sure that its 2t only then combine that 2t and 5t then u get 7t=3; t=3/7;;;;;;
