Knot Spell
To rid yourself of problems or a troublesome situation.
Take cotton yarn in the appropriate color of the problem (green for money, red for love, etc) and pour out your fears and problems in to the yarn. Tie it up in knots to symbolize how "tied-up" you feel. Take it outside and let the wind blow it away along with your negativity. Go back inside and take a ritual bath or shower cleansing.
Best done during the full moon

I second the self-confidence But if a spell or ritual would would help you feel better, I've made a little charm based on a spell I've read about about a year ago. My version is basicly a little green bag of rosemary that I keep in my pocket during any interviews or speeches. That and I pray for confidence and good luck before I go. Just remember... the right job for you will come along. You have to believe in yourself most of all.

If you don't understand the basics of energy manipulation, how energy works or can be conducted, then don't cast until you understand what you're doing. If you don't understand the consequences or accountability you are responsible for in casting a spell, then don't cast until you have a good understanding of these things.
Practioners within the religion of Witchcraft do not often, if ever, share their spells. A spell is personal and defines your own personal intent. It's your spell, it's your energy and there is no greater expression of that energy than through your own words as a spell. In a teaching situation, a witch might give you an example of what is said during a particular section of a ceremony. But most often these are just examples. You should still create your own.

How about something very simple, but not a spell. This is for anyone with a belief in the powers of the Earth.
Get a turquoise stone, preferably in the rough (not cut or polished) and a length of copper wire. Wrap the wire around the stone to make an amulet. Cleanse them in a combination of spring or distilled water (NOT tap water) with some salt and sage. This will remove any negativity that the stone and/or wire have absorbed. Then wear it to ward off bad luck.

If your "bad luck" is in fact someone wishing you ill will and have put their intent into a spell and directed it against you.. Here's how to undo it.... Find a small twig from an apple tree, preferably one which has fallen naturally,if you do have to cut one.. Ask the tree for permission to do so and thank it , also leave the tree a small gift, eg :- bury a small crystal at the tree's base.. Then take a hair from your head and wrap it around the twig and say as you do:- Let what e'er was sent to me, Be returned to them, three times three, And it harm none, so mote it be...Bury the twig in the shade of the apple tree.. Have a nice shower washing away all the negative energy , then surround yourself with a protective white light... You will beam with confidence and whoever has wished you ill will, will then realise that their spell was useless... Love and light, Blessed be.....

Terrance witchcraft may be "recognized" as a religion in the US, but a. the US is not the whole world and b. that simply isn't true. A magician may be religious but that does not mean all magicians are and not all religious people are magical.
You need to give more info on what exactly is the nature of this bad luck you have been experiencing. Why not use an amulet to protect you from bad luck. Remember, spells can go wrong!

Terrance witchcraft is not a religion, there may be religions that incorporate magic but magic is not a religion. Witchcraft is simply magic practiced by witches or the skill (craft) of witches, like wizardry is magic practiced by wizards or the skill of wizards. Magic itself is not religious, but its practitioners can be. Also witches and wizards do share their spells, how else would they learn? You may not do so, but you don't speak for all magical people. I believe that you are speaking of Wicca, which is not the same as witchcraft as I explained above, which does contain ceremonies but not all magic is like that. Magical practices are and ought to be shared with other magical people in order to improve knowledge.
I think you ought to consult a spell book, assuming you yourself are magical. However, an alternative would be to wear an amulet to ward off bad luck or energies. I suggest the Eye of Horus which is to ward off the evil eye, the watchful eye of darkness that may be targeting you. It comes from The God Horus, a hawk, it is either his left or right eye or you can wear both for extra protection. I can't give you a spell as I don't know what bad luck you have been having so I cannot be sure what maybe causing it e.g. a curse, hex or jinx. I would need more information, like do you think someone in particular caused this an object or place? Boiling frogs, as you say, would be potion making and is not the same as a spell. Also, ignore Joa5, I know what you mean you want something simple.
If you are unsure of the cause of bad luck you having been having, I strongly advise you buy or make an amulet to ward off the bad luck. However if you know specifically or have a feeling about what may be its cause please do say, you can email me, and I will be happy to give you a spell. You see it is best to be specific as a general spell may not target the problem or worse, have adverse effects. But for now get an amulet and please, if you can, tell me what specifically has been happening to you, I can help but I need more to go on.
Terrance I stand by what I say, even if is recognized as one, that is simply incorrect as it does not mean "the practice of the wise" it means the skill of witches, as craft means a skill, like handicraft etc. witchcraft is not a religion (by definition) as it simply the practice of magic by witches. Witchcraft is magic and magic is not a religion, as I said I'm not saying that magic can't be incorporated into religion, I myself follow a religion where magic is practiced. Paganism is different to magic entirely, wizards and witches practice magic, pagans don't necessarily do so. Paganism is more about beliefs, a pagan being a person not belonging to one of the mainstream religions like Islam or Christianity; a person adhereing to religions/beliefs prior to Christianity, however some pagans are irreligious, I have a cousin who does not follow a religion and is pagan, he calls himself one. Paganism is an umbrella term for lots of beliefs or lack of it, often why I see it as misleading as some even say paganism is a religion! A religion by definition is the set rites, practices, rituals coupled with the worship of God(s) or supernatural force. Magic/witchcraft/wizardry may have different practices; potion making, spell casting, divination etc. However, one cannot define the indiviual witch or wizards beliefs or religion. Not all magicians are religious and that is their choice and should not dictate their religion. Magic is a force, but I don't worship it, I worship The Gods.

Great answers all of the above. Terrance has a point, although I believe that her point was misunderstood by Abby Hansen, however, what Abby says is also true.
You will find some spells at the following link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pwfo/
If you don't find what you are looking for, let me know.
My most profound respect to all my fellow witches, Pagans, Wiccans, etc.

Bad luck ,also know as bad carma-(SP?), is thought to be able to be "warded off" by doing good deeds. I do not know much about this subject but one of my friends sure does. He could probably tell me a spell after I get back from school tommorow-(SP?).

Meditate. Find the center of yourself, your energy. Once you have figured out where you are going you will quit tripping yourself (the source of most "bad luck"). "carma" is actually spelled with a "k" (karma) for the person who was having trouble with that.
