I've been in your situation many times...For a large load,
put warm water in your machine, add about 1 tbs of dish soap and about 1/2 cup vinegar. Add your clothes and wash as normal. The vinegar is a good cleaner for alot of things other than laundry as well. It will keep the suds down as well. Put fabric softener in the rinse water. Hope you like what I have suggested.

Laundry cleansing soap is formulated for low suddsing. The suds will droop the airborne dirt and dirt yet no longer stay in the fabric while rinsed out. Dish cleansing soap is severe suddsing and could make a multitude of your outfits and specific the laundry section too!

Do you have any liquid body soap? That could work. Otherwise hold the bar soap nder the incoming water for a bit so it makes it soapy.
You should be fine with that. (I think)

Baking soda.
Just a little bit will work as a substitute until you can get out to and pick up some more laundry detergent.

dish soap is fine, just dont use as much, shampoo is ok but expensive. bubble bath might work, or even liquid hand soap.
