If the only place you are experiencing low water pressure is in your shower, it is because your shower head filter is clogged. Change your shower head, and the problem is solved. A shower head is very inexpensive.

My grandpa puts about 1/2 cup of vinegar in the water heater and then runs the hot water. It seems to work for him. Something about chemistry of bases and acids. One dissolves the other type of thing.

If its just the shower though, just put the vinegar in a cup and stick the shower head in the cup. The vinegar should desolve the calcium deposits.

Note: you have to run the water for awhile to get the vinegar smell out of it. Otherwise when you take a shower you will stink to high heaven.

Also make sure to take out the little "water saver" ring in your shower head before installing.
