Top hole near the neck...This is the SECOND time it's happened on this Strat and it's really starting to annoy me. There is one hole already there from the last time and now this one. I'm afraid if another hole is put in, it will cause damage to the entire body. Some suggestions please?

It's was a new strat when I bought it and is just a 2000 standered Strat Model. No modifications have been made to the body except those stated above. All other mods would have no effect with the wood.

Fonzie...That is not what i'm talking about. please read the details. it's the hole IN THE BODY. Not the strap. Not see easy to fix as going to the store and buying a new one.

Sorry, I have to comment again. Samantha...That's not what you do with guitars...That's what you do with stuff you don't invest money and time in to. The guitar is worth a lot and i've had it for almost as long as i've been playing. You don't toss guitars.

Anyways, I already attempted to fill in the holes but nothing helped...the extra fill didn't stay.

my husband is an awesome and knowledgable guitar player. he said to fill it with wood glue, let it dry for about 24 to 48 hours and them put the same screw in the same hole. my sons are both guitar players (the oldest is in a band here in Illinois-deviated septum-it's on my space under ryan saccinna) anyway, anytime they need help with a song on the guitar, my husband always has an answer.

The best way to fix this is get some quick epoxie that sets in 15 mins fill the hole up and sand it off and then drill a new hole if u dont have a drill just use the screw and with a little bit of force it should screw itself. good luck

I would fill the hole in with a strong wood filler and re-drill the hole. Use a coaser thread screw to hold it in place.

this just happened to my ibanez not too long ago.....

what solved my problem was putting a small piece of wood in the hole to make it fit tighter. mine hasnt given me problems since.

Wait- we're talking a simple leather strap?

Just buy a new one, dude. At any guitar shop.

like the guy above said. i used a toothpick to make a tightfit, or use a bigger screw. its just a guitar play it until it dies and buy a new one.
