Rematch of 86 is more likely this year. The Red Sox have a much stronger team than the Yankees.

The 2007 World Series will be an I95 series. The Yankees will play the Phillies this season in a 7 game classic. The Yankees will win their 27th world championship.

i hope not. i want to see teams that haven't been there in the last few years. it's either new york mets/yankees, atlanta braves, chicago cubs/white sox, boston red sox, st louis cardinals, houston astros and etc. i think the fans would love it more if you had the underdogs fighting it out for the title. it gets really old when you see the same people going to the world series/playoffs all the time.

Whoever completely denies this possability is just an arrogant NY hater. Of course it could happen. The Yankees WILL win the AL East like they have for the past what..... 10 years? And i dont see the Mets losing their division, or a playoff spot with their line-up. So my answer is YES!!!!!

It very well could be. For both teams I think its going to come down to pitching - the Yankees brought Andy Petite back which makes me wonder if they can get Roger Clemens back too. The Mets tried to add starting pitching but they could not.

I'd like the Battle of the Bay Series to return. 1989 was a great baseball year.

Although I am from NYC, i do not see it happening this year. My guess would be the Dodgers vs the Twins(young and talented young pitching)/Indians(i really like this team this year)

yes, because i think they are the best teams in their respective leagues...the yanks have underrated pitching, and the best hitting in the big leagues...the mets are pretty well rounded but their pitching depth, however i'll give them the nod anyway because the cards don't have many guys who can protect pujols

I'm sick of hearing about the Yankees. I hope they don't win it next year, or any year for that matter.
