Dimmer

P=V^2/r

P(USA)=(120)^2 /r
P(Europe)=(240)^2/r=25W
r=(240V)^2/25W=2304 ohms

P(USA)= (120V)^2/2304ohms = 6.25 Watts (this how much it will consume in USA)

Ratio = 25/6.25= 4
That is 4 times less power

the same, well, close. i guess different manufacturers may be slightly different due to tints in the glass, but the wattage and color is what determines the brightness.
