Shivering is a series of involuntary muscle contractions that happen when the central nervous system senses that the body temperature has fallen too low. Based on this, it might seem that fish can shiver, but shivering only happens in animals that self-regulate their body temperature. Because fish don't self-regulate body temperature but are dependent on the ambient temperature of the water around them, fish don't shiver. They will, however, try to raise their body temperature by behavioural changes, like swimming to an area where the water is warmer.

i agree with most other answers but depending on the type of fish you have it might be excited or wanting to mate or could be alot of other reasons. as long as it seems healthy otherwise i would not worry about it at all. i have some fish that when they see me coming over they seem to shiver/dance. i think they are just excited to see me and saying hi either that or expecting some yummie food.

Fish do no longer shiver yet i do not truly imagine they have the favor both. The water is a fabulous equipment and (specially interior the sea) it has a tendency to maintain temperature. If it transformations, they die.

Yes, they can shiver, but not from being too cold. If you are seeing that action it's for another reason.
