What's going to happen after I decide I don't want it anymore? I really want to know please! before I actually piercing it! =( Thanks for all the advice in advance!
What would happen if I left in for about 1 or 2 yrs.?

You will have a permanent hole, as a "fistula" forms... that is a channel with hard tissue on the inside.
I would advise against any piercings on the face, you will have to get a good job someday and this will be a detriment to the job hunt.

You'll have a little scar which, because of its position, will be hard to hide and will also be obvious that it was from a lip piercing. I see those on people a lot. They don't jump out at you, and I doubt it would affect your chances of getting a job at any point, but they're definitely noticeable and that's a big part of the reason I never got my lip pierced. I got my tongue done instead! You can hide them to an extent and they're supposed to heal up real nice.

As long as you take care of it the scars will be minimal. Mine never got infected and after I took mine out, it closed up in about a day and left next to nothing as far as scarring. Even now, I have to push my lip out with my tongue to even make the scar show up.

Hmm well I have about 12 friends with lip piercings, and I myself had my lip pierced...and we all got red-dotted pimple-like scars..you can cover them with make up and they do fade to light pink over time. The longer you have your piercing in for the worse it will be. My boyfriend's looks like a giant acne scar because he had his in for 2 years, mine was only a small dot because it got infected and i had to take it out sooner.
I didnt like having my lip pierced at all. It was annoying and I took really good care of it, it still managed to get infected because your mouth...no matter how clean you keep it...is FULL of bacteria.

if you take you lip ring out and leave it out it would heal back and you would only have a very small scar my daughter let hers close up the one over her eyebrow and the one on her lip. And her scars look like skin moles that's all.

i think there will still be scar. like others people who goes and pierce their eyebrows etc, when they take it off, there will be scar being left behind.

it would probably close up, and if you leave it in for a long time, most likely a little scar, that would probably go away in time.
