Based on last year I think its Jose Reyes. But Beltran plans to steal a lot more bases this year, so its between those two.

David Wright is probably the best on the mets and would be the best on alot of other teams. he os very dependable in clutch situations with a 365 ba w risp and a 358 wisp w 2 outs not mention a 400 with the bases loaded. look at some other peoples numbers in those situations

"Jose Reyes, he's a great defensive player" > Jose Reyes was the worst "full time" defensive shortstop in MLB last year. A range factor of 3.86 ranks somewhere between terrible and ridiculous.

Carlos Beltran is so much better than Reyes that they are not even comparable..

has no one considered david wright? maybe the best third baseman in baseball, certainly the best all around player for the metropolitans. Carlos Beltran or Carlos Delgado may be the biggest offensive threats. Pedro, in his prime, was the best pitcher, talent-wise. Pelfrey has the potential to be a god. I'm gonna leave out Reyes as long as he sucks at the plate. Working on his strikeouts will greatly improve his rating in my eyes.

First of all, Albert Pujols is ONE of the best players in baseball. That he is the best is a debate for another time. Reyes is probably their best player.
Ho Ho- Hernandez isn't even that good. Yeah, he has 3 rings for a reason all right-HE WAS ON GOOD TEAMS. He was decent but he is nothing to write home about. Plenty of guys who stink have rings.

Pitching- "El Duque" Hernandez. The guy has a very unique way of delivery and wind up that you never know where the ball is going to be thrown from. the guy has 3 championship rings for a reason.

Batting- Carlos Delgado (when healthy) this guy has a solid hit and power to all fields. he got the mets out of big jams last year with homeruns.
