Around my town you have to look where you step. In the winter, there's alot of ice. In the summer, people don't like cleaning up after their pets, even on the sidewalks.

I always look where I step because I am a clean freak and I don't like getting nasty stuff on my shoes.

I look where I'm gonna step about 50 feet in front of where I am now. If I am looking down right in front of me, I tend to miss hazards further ahead of me.

well if i was walking slowly and lonely i would be looking where i would step but if i was walking with some friends and talking then i wouldn't look where i step.
