While there already is a natural population control, I don't think it's necessary for involvement from the government. I think the Chinese version of it, is a bit iffy. The bigger the population, the bigger the epidemics and diseases and the more strong the mutations of viruses get.

Population is the root cause of nearly every problem the world faces. Take global warming for example. If we manage to pass every measure they can think of and make things efficient and less poluting by 50% say. That is great until we have twice as many people and we are worse than when we started. Estimates vary but the population WILL double and probably withing the next 20 years. It is called exponential growth and it will be the end of things as we know them.

Anything you can point to and see it as a problem (polution, greenhouse gas, oil depletion, gang violence, illegal immigration, famine, war etc.) It is all magnified by the number of people involved. Particularly obvious when it is the consumption of fnite resources. But some resources are not finite. They just need time to replenish. As populations grow, that time is not allowed and we see the oceans over fished and the rainforrest goes away and the people move on leaving desert behind.

Theres not enough resources and its not natural to live like this. There isn't even any unclaimed land anymore, no where to build a home. Population control is imperative. There should be a child tax and a limit of 2 babies per couple, if they have more they should do continious hard labour to make up for the resources the extra child would consume and be spayed and nutred

It is something we will need to consider soon. As we eradicate disease and people live longer we are finding it harder to support the growing population. The larger the population, the more food we need. The more food we need, the more land we need to grow the food and this is where the clash is. Where do people live if you need the spare land to grow your food?

As crazy as it sounds, the earth only has so many resources. If we go on mass populating the earth we will destroy the quality of life for all. How to do it is another question.

Abortion isn't the answer. You can clearly see our population hasn't decreased at all since it being legalized. You know what I think we should do? Deport all the violent criminals to Antartica. Or better yet, the moon. It will benefit our society and make it safer while at the same time cutting down the population. It worked for England deporting their degenerate social parasites to Australia, so why can't it work for us? As for the rest of us, just don't screw out of wedlock and when you do get married, get your tubes tied. That is all.

I think once a person is about 21 you can tell if they deserve to live. If it was up to me, the ones that don't, don't.

We don't have too many people in the US, it's actually the opposite. There are too many old retired people and not enough young workers to support them with social security, and making people have fewer kids would only make the problem worse.

By population control are you referring to China's 1 Child Only Policy....
It is also done in parts of India when women find out that they are carrying a female child, they will opt to abort even at very late stages.
Who is to say when & how many children I have....That is between me and my husband and G-d..
I know many people who have 5 or more children and that is there FAMILY....
Lets not forget about the number of women who, for what ever reason are unale to have children.....
Would you REALLY want the GOVERNMENT telling you how many children you can or can not HAVE????
Would you also want the GOVERNMENT telling you which Religion you can or can not worship??
