When I eat a potato chip it usually makes me eat another (and another, and so on). As you can imagine, I've eaten a lot of potato chips. I'm within normal BMI parameters and as far as I know I've never had a blood clot problem.

Now if you eat @ McDonalds... Then you're just begging for problems. :-)

Two things come to mind: high cholesterol because of the fat content, which can lead to clogged arteries and cause heart attacks or strokes; and high blood pressure because of the salt content that can lead to stroke.

Obesity and poor nutrition (If all you ate was potato chips) could also be considerations.

You would have to eat a lot of potatoe chips, but they have a lot of grease in them and saturated fat which is solid at room temperature, which can increase someone's lipid levels, cholesterol, and may increase their risk of throwing a atherosclerotic clot.

Potato chips are usually fried and greasy, so you'll probably get overweight, which leads to other health complications
