sweetie I've been in a similar situation.Don't worry as long as you have submitted the app.prior to having the baby they can back date it when the bill comes. And if in doubt you can talk to a case manager in billing at the hospital when you do deliver to help speed up the process. good luck! i can't wait either, 9 days to due date.

Yes there is, but in your situation if you do go into labor and have the baby the hospital will get it pushed on through as they want to get paid as well as your physicians. The admissions department at the hospital will assist you with everything you will need to do. You might want to contact them and let them know what you have done and go ahead and pre-register and that might even help the application process go through a bit faster. I used to work in the hospital admissions department and used to pre-register new Mothers, but I didn't have anything to do with the Medicaid, but I am very sure that there will be someone there who could help you out. Good luck, congrats and God Bless!!

i live in tx and they will cover any uncovered medical expenses wthin the last three months if you qualified. when you begin labor just go to the hospital and they will see you and medicaid will pay for it later the baby will also be covered for a year but in tx the mom is only covered for the 2 months after the birth.

Yes medicaid will go back if you have ur baby before ur appointment as long as u put it in before hand. I applied for medicaid after my second pre-natal visit and they went back and paid the bill. Absolutely ur all good. Congrats on ur baby and good luck!

I believe with Medicaid and other insurances you are covered from the day you submitted the application. So I believe you should be covered.

It is considered pending as soon as you turn in the application. If it is approved then you will be covered .
When I turned in my app. it took 30 days to be approved but they covered me for 2 months prior to the date it was turned in
