like postive effects of tragedies?

The best example I can give is the nuclear bombing in japan. that was a grave mistake on behalf of us and alot of innocent lives were taken and the effects of which are still seen till date. I believe you know what the positive effect of such a tragedy was. The bombing wasn't a good thing but we learned from it.

Like if you cross the road when light is red , car may come close next time run over your foot. Then after it brakes your leg. you learn to wait untill the light is green. Just like walking to school on the way you fall into this hole, after so many times you may learn to walk around it. Or take another road.

nascar is now safer than it was in 2001 when dale earnhardt was killed. head & neck restraints, "soft" wall technology, crumple zones in chassis construction, seat design...i could go on.
