I'm going to hang out at the beach with friends.I have stretch marks that aren't too bad but i thought that if i got a fake tan, it would hide them much better.but do fake tans even show up on dark skin and if so is there a special kind i need to get?

I don't think so, but you could try Sally Hansens spray on airbrush for the legs. It works GREAT. Covers up all imperfections, discolorations, and stretch marks.

If you get a fake tan you might draw more attention to your stretch marks. You can use a little foundation or some concealer. I have stretch marks too, I would just get a bathing suit that will cover most of the marks.

i used to dance for a bball team and all the girls had to get spray tanned..

two of the girls are are team were black, and DID get sprayed sometimes too..
it didn't make a lot of a difference.. but they did get more of a bronze glow from it.. and.. it was free.. so why not?

i would suggest getting the airbrush tan (by a person) becuase they can target certain areas better.. i wouldnt suggest using the do-it-yourself bottle... you never know what the orange power might do!!

I have stretch marks too!!! I am dominican, african american and native american,, so i'm like in the middle... DO NOT fake tan-- it will probraly show up, but it will not enhance it at all!! I lovee my stretch marks because they make me diffrent than some other girls who is "perfect". && if your inn the sun u will tan, but for mee my stretch marks get darker.. if ur REALLy self-conscious, then cover it w/ cover up or foundation.... but it is very important to embrace EVERY about yourself- esepcially your flaws, because they give us character && a sense of pride in our diversity!!!!

Even if you could it would not even out your pigment.
Just put on some waterproof makeup.
I know someone who puts makeup on her corned feet. LOL
That still makes me laugh.
