Terrorists can't be negotiated with. They don't care about life, only death. Haven't you noticed? The want the death of Israel, and every Jew alive, then Americans are on their full agenda. I guess they might agree not to attack America if we just handed over Israel to them, but then again, what good are their promises? Iran signed a UN agreement to not own nukes, and also signed it into International Law, but they're doing it, aren't they?

Well.. there's nothing wrong with negotiations. However, the way you do negotiations could be a problem.
So far, I believe that the current administration doesn't really want to 'negotiate' because what it really wants is to remove the current Iranian regime, just like they did with Iraq. The unspoken motive seems to be to gain total political control of the Middle east and the flow of oil in the region.
So, although 'nuclear weapons' is a plausible excuse, it is only an excuse. If the current administration wants to remove nuclear weapons from 'terrorist' regimes, they could have removed them from a small puny country like North Korea. They haven't done it, even though North Korea has already proved that they have nukes. Why don't they order to invade North Korea?
Answer: North Korea is not quite strategic and they don't have OIL.
On the other hand, the IAEA has said Iran doesn't have nukes yet, and cannot develop nukes yet. It will take them several more years to reach that level.
So, you will see that negotiations are not really what the current administration wants - it wants oil and control of the region. It doesn't want to negotiate. It's their way or the highway.

There is nothing wrong with it from a normal viewpoint. However, from the government viewpoint there is plenty wrong with it. No money to be made.
Remember, this is how it always works:
Arm a country and then invade them. Repeat in another part of the world.

You are absolutely right. We should be talking to them right up until we blow them completely off the map.
Jimmy Carter tried talking to them in 1979 after they attacked our embassy and turned our Diplomats into hostages. Talking didn't help then, and it never will.
I don't know that the weapons which we sold them were missiles, but I think that was a clever way of keeping Saddam and the Iranians both busy, while generating money to fight the communists in Nicaragua. It was working too, until the Democrats decided that was being nice to the communists. But Democrats always love communists, I guess it because their ideas are so similar.

How do you know talks are not going on right now.
There is world the press doesn't know about.
Maybe we should relax and see how it goes.
