If you drive long miles your exhaust system is going to last a long time because all moisture and condensation is dried out from the heat of the exhaust. People who drive short miles usually less than 10 at a time go thru mufflers almost yearly . As long as it's not noisy or rattles you don't need to replace it.

Inspect your exhaust pipe visually all over looking for rust thru holes either on the pipes or on the muffler. Tap on it. You should hear a "ting, ting, ting" kind of noise. If the noise is more muffled and/or if you break thru, well it is time. Exhaust fumes can get into the cab besides the extra noise.

Almost all newer vehicles come with stainless steel exhaust these days. When the SUV starts sounding loud,it's time to check the exhaust. The stainless steel can rot from the inside out due to chemicals in the exhaust gas itself.
Congrats on the high mileage.

Normally you replace them when they rust out. And normally it should of rusted out by now unless that is like all highway traveling miles. Or you own a Lexus with an all stainless steel exhaust system that never needs replaced.
