I have protected your freedom and way of life for the last 15 years. I have sacrificed my time, my comfort and my lifestyle so you can act and say what you wish.
I have executed this task in the face of adversity. I am ridiculed, cursed, insulted and un-appriciated by many.
My resolve, however, is strong and my stance firm. While I serve, I will continue to stand guard over you and every other American unto my death or retirement.
That is what I do for you and I will never ask for anything in return.
The question I have to ask you is; "What have you done for the good of all Americans?"

Larry,
What possible reason does a "Compassionate Conservative" have to do anything for you? Conservatives try to create an environment where people can improve their own lives. You liberals think that the government is responsible to make your life better without any effort by yourself.
Lets look at what conservatism has accomplished. These are some facts that the liberal media would rather not report on.
- lower inflation
- lower unemployment
- faster productivity growth
- faster labor compensation growth (i.e., wages and benefits)
- 29.4 percent ($6.9 trillion) more economic output
- 45 percent ($960 billion) more exports; and
- an economic growth rate 81.2 percent as fast as that under Clinton
Tax breaks for people who are making money to invest it back in the economy by creating new businesses and jobs that create more tax revenue. Even with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the tax breaks have caused our economy to keep growing as well as our tax revenues. At the current rate of tax revenue coming in, the budget will be balanced in a couple of years.
So please don't ask what I can do for you, ask what can you do for yourself. The opportunity is there for you to capitalize upon or squander. Your choice.

Libtards: What have you done for me lately?
I'm not interested in what Puh-low-si has done. I don't want to hear about what the Libtards "plan to do", either. I want to know what you, as the so-called "Party of the People", have done personally to make my life better.
You give me a list of positive things your dark Side of The Force has done, and I'll give you a list from the GOP.

Well, you are not dead from a terrorist attack, you can receive an inheritance from your family without paying through the nose, you have a great economy, you can still choose which doctor operates on you, you can buy a house with a 5% morgage, your neighbors daughter might not kill a innocent child because she decided to screw her boyfriend, you are free to stand on a soapbox and scream at the top of your lounges what you think is right, do you want more?

The GOP has let conservatives down. The real conservatives are no longer represented by the Republican party.

1. Tell you in this answer that it is not my problem to make your life better. It is your job. So I just taught you a valuable skill to becoming successful.
2. Sen Mitch McConnell in the Senate has kept the Republicans together and stopped the Democrats from screwing things up worse.

You liberals always think you are owed something. Because of this I pay a crap load in taxes to support Socialist Security and Medicaid. Governments are not set up to give you anything. They are set up to protect you from harm and in so doing you have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Making life better isn't what conservatism is about. It is about allowing each man the maximum liberty possible. He(or she) owns his body, and should be able to do with it as he sees fit, including transfats, etc. He owns his labor, and should be able to keep the fruits of it.
People will thrive best given freedom. It is freedom, liberty, that makes this country great.

As a registered democrat, I believe I'm qualified to answer your question.
The only good thing a conservative can do is die. If you know any that have died, then they have done you a favor by removing themselves from your life.

Trust me, Lar, I have absolutely no intentions of ever doing anything for you. Not caring how your life is and my being a compassionate conservative are not mutually exclusive.
