A consultant of any sort has an educated reason for choosing as they do. A lingerie consultant could perhaps show a person peices that would be most flattering for their body shape. Not all peices are flattering on everyone.

Sometimes we see our body differently than it actually is, and we often don't measure ourselves correctly because its nice to think that we are a smaller(or bigger) size than we really are.
