Cogito, ergo sum. I know that for sure. Darn tootin'. Oh -- and 2+2=4. I can't say for certain that anything else is true.

Yes, but
the truth cannot be proven with science. With science you can prove something false. If a theory goes long enough without being proven false, it is accepted as true. But science doesn't say a thing is true -- scientists do.
The point of my saying that is, spirit is required to recognize truth. Science doesn't say something is true. People do.
So maybe truth itself is a red herring, a construct of imperfect humanity. I personally think that is an oversimplification, but if there is such a thing as truth, only a natural human being can know it.

Not everyone can sit in the quietness of their own decisions,in the small hours of the night and be truly honest with themselves about what they have done, omitted to do or perpetrated. In those reflective hours during the darkness of night that is when we all ask ourselves about truth. We can lie, mislead, fool all of the world but can we ever truly fool ourselves and believe in untruth. One has to have periods of time of self-reflection to grow and nourish our soul. In those times we have to honest with only ourselves and in that excavation of the soul we will find our truth. We all have our own truth, about what has occurred, what we hope to happen and were we fit into the grand scheme of our lives. It is our paramount destiny as humans to take this opportunity to find out our truth, that is what sets us apart from any other mammal on the planet, the fact that we can reason, understand, plan and come to terms with decisions and all that occurs in our lives. Do we know truth...only if we are very, very fortunate.

I didn't know there were natural and unatural human beings.
Hmmmm
As humans we can't truely know truth because truth is subjective.
Absolute truth lays in the afterlife.

many people seek for teh truth but never find it, not because we cont be able to know it. but because sometimes we are too stupid to realize it, and sometimes when we find out about it, we find it hard to accept, sometimes the truth has been revealed to us, we do not accept it easily because it may contradict our personal point of views, it is not always plain too see the truth, and being complex also doesnt mean that it is truth all the time. open your eyes...
