All right, What's a good way for me to practice at my house for shooting wise?

What are some things I should do?

If you have a basketball hoop at home, try this shooting workout: http://www.hoopsu.com/playertips_shooting.html

If not, you can still work on form shooting without a basketball. Do some wrist flips with the basketball....stand in front of a mirror and watch yourself do the motion..see for yourself how good it is!

ok first of all if you got a hoop it helps... if not make one

what helped my jump shot is i would bring the ball up around the free throw line and spin then jump up and shoot the J

it helps your coorindation to the basket...

if you live in a big city try going to the local YMCA there's always pickup games you can join...

Last thing... is the punishment way, it's like Around The World but you can't stop. You take 2 dribbles and hit a jump shot if you miss you start over. Everytime you make it you go over one space. So it would be like right sideline-right side of free throw line-top of arc-left side free throw line-left sideline and back

and you can stop playing unless you make all without missing

IT HELPS

Use your shot every time you throw a piece of paper in the trash can.

If you have an outside wall that is very tall - preferably cinder block or brick - that is NOT used by the house itself, take your basketball and "shoot" the ball against it. Try to hit the same block or brick every time.

Practice the shooting motion that you use with both hands. Over and over and over, make the shooting motion with the hands, including the follow through. As many repetitions as you can, this will make the motion ingrained in your mind and in your muscles.

Hold the ball in your shooting hand with your wrist ****** back without your other hand holding it. This forces you to keep your elbow straight and not flying out to the outside or inside. Flick your wrist and let the ball rotate out of your hand. If you did this correctly, you shoud see the ball's lines rotate evenly and not crooked.

Larry Bird took 1000 shots a day. It seemed to work for him....
