1. What is your profession?
2. What type of degrees have you obtained in college and what are you majoring in?
3. What position do you hold in your profession?

There's nothing wrong with how you asked your questions, but what I wrote is just a way of asking more professionally. Not sure about the last question though.

1. What do you do for a living?

You have really done quite well. 1. What (kind of) job do you have? 2. What (kind of) degree do you have and in what major? 3. What kind of work do you do in your job and what is its title? 4. What year, make and model of car do you drive?

(Careful here, you may appear to be a gold digger--One out for material things and therefore are a very shallow person).

There really is no one way to ask these questions. Technically, your questions are all right, even if they are very short, which tends to point out that English is not your first language.

1-"what is your job", or "what job do you hold"?
2-"what are your degree and major?"
3-"What position do you hold at your job"?
4-what kind and model of car do you have? (that sounds fine to me!)

What is your job? (instead of job, you could use... occupation, vocation, profession)

What are your degree and major?

What position do you hold in your current job?

What are the make and model of your car?

I hope you find this helpful.
