The real "big dogs" use 2-strokes. They produce more horsepower for their weight when compared to a 4 stroke. Not to mention that when you have a 2-stroke the higher you rev it the more power it makes, giving you the needed power for the "big air" and other tricks. The real problem (for you- unless you have access to a private riding area) is that the EPA is cracking down on 2-strokes due to their higher pollution and will only let you get a "permit sticker" (to ride them)for 4-6 months per year. (depending on locale) If was you... get a 4 stroke, they are getting lighter, faster, and mostly easier to work on AND run longer before needing service... You can still pull big tricks on a 4- stroke...

I know Team Red Bull uses 250 2 strokes. I still prefer 4 strokes for MX and SX but it seems 2 strokes are the ticket for FMX.

hi those days they have an inclination to be as a rule 4 stroke engines used with diesel gas as no blowers are used to rigidity air into the intake, some use a rapid it is real yet this has a lag that's compensated for in the engine administration gadget.

Actually Honda is about to stop making two strokes and so will everyone else soon, just like two stroke street bikes.
