My car is really weak. Especially when I get to a hill. It's a 5 speed so it should be a pretty quick car. I've changed the plugs and wires and even tried injection cleaner. It takes forever to get up to a good rate of speed. Any ideas?

Thank you Steven P, but I don't think 115lbs is putting too much pressure on my car, friend. :-P

Depending on how many miles it has on it (22 years old now) you could simply be losing compression. The cause of this is failing seals and rings in your rotary engine. It is like you are letting the energy of the internal combustion in the engine escape from that engine instead of containing it until you get to the transmission and drive train. Picture how frustrating it would be to try and blow up a balloon not knowing there was air holes poked in the side. Failing rings and seals are normal with a high mileage car and would require some engine rebuild work of unknown depth. Not the best news IF this is the problem. If car was "younger" it could be a host of other things and still may be, its just that with cars that old, compression loss with old engines moves further up the list of possibilities.
Good Luck...Hope this helps

Could use a ford 5.0 engine transplant. This has been done by several persons and it is an easy swap. This website sells the kits to do it.

There are also some problems with the electronic controls on those years of engines. That in turn messes with the carb tuning. Might have to do some emission control removal and change to a different carb. Not exactly legal in all states though...

After 22 years the engine is probably due for a rebuild, replacement or transplant. If there are no other know problems with the engine other than the fact that it is lacking power. I would consider overhauling the engine before i started investing in upgrades.
No use putting a new saddle in a dead horse!

Ok now, I really know cars and there are many ways to get your car up and running but only the problem is that it changes the power only by a little bit so those won't really work on a car as weak as yours. Try asking a highly trained mechanic he might know the best solution but for me, the best thing is to get a new car.

I would turbo charge it that would jump your horse power and torque by a lot. a turbo with a rotary engine is a great combo! you can also try indexing the plugs, cold air intake, high flow exhaust exe.
