Well, it is an indication that Cold War is starting all over again. The same threats were exchanged between the U.S. and the Soviets during the first Cold War. But in fairness, the first Cold War was the period when countries had the best and most brilliant diplomats. Sure, threats and rhetorics were exchanged, but diplomacy was at its finest.

If a war breaks out with Iran, it will just be a proxy war for the Soviets. Soviet troops and personnel will not be directly involved in the fighting, but Soviet weapons and military advisers will surely be supplied to Iran.

This also gives an indication where the Soviets stand when the next round of economic sanctions are to be imposed against Iran for its nuclear ambitions.

If we attack Tehran, yes, Russia will defend Iran, as they should. These countries don't want our new form of Democracy, and we are determined to spread it. We have blindly given up all our rights and freedoms to the Republican Neocons. If you all still feel we are protecting our homeland you need mental help. Our occupation and random slaughter of the people of the Middle East is all about population control, and control of the last of the fossil fuels. When the oil is gone so will be the dinosaur known as America. When America dies, peace will spread throughout the land. To bad, we let them get away with it, we gave away our rights & freedoms to the Neocons, and they weren't even in jeopardy, then we Americans fell asleep at the wheel and allowed our leaders to follow the path of greed, money,& war. So be it !

I think Russia is the same as it was in the cold war. They are not an ally of the United States, and neither is China.

What do you think most Russians thought when they were attacking Iraq and we warned them not to? Do you remember that war? The U.S. forced Russia to leave Iraq even though the Iraqis were trying to terrorize Russia at the time. The U.S. gave the Russians NO support.

Americans have such double standards. We can do it to them, but they better not do it to us!
