opposition to what is being taught in their daughter's science book. If it dared to even mention the possibility of a God the libs wouldn't be burning the book they would be burning the Author.

I think the liberals just do not understand the concept of parenting. I think they think I brought my child into this world so they could screw him up.

Sorry, libs, that's my job.

And do not ever ask liberals about their hypocrisy. It makes them cry.

Wait, how do you know they were libs who told her that? How do you know that that person wasn't a con? Really, get your head out of your a**. They sarcastically said that she might as well have a book burning session. Really, she didn't like that evolution was taught. Tough. This is a public school. She doens't like it, go to a religious school.

Response to your note, you should have stayed in school. Your rantings don't make much sense. The gist I got out of it was they are teaching kids Communism. Again, get your head out of your a**. Without science, there would be no doctors, psysicists, astronomers, and the world would still be flat.

In Americas history there have been many instances of book burning which occurred when those opposed to what were in the books decided that their beliefs out weighed others. While I do believe some of the people who answered the question you are referring to a bit rashly, I do see where they are coming from. It is expressly written into the constitution about the separation of church and state. Although the questioner has a right to her beliefs, she does not have the right to force them on others. The current criteria for science texts is to use the most widely investigated and accepted theories.

Banning books is never a good thing. That's how Hitler, for instance, started and went pretty quickly to burning them. Books are about ideas and, yes, some books are skewed. It is up to us as parents to give our children our values and to discuss things that don't go along with our values. They need to know they are there. College will be worse. We need to let our children know what others are saying but make sure they know what we think and why we think it. We can't keep our kids in a bubble.

If you look at history one often goes from banning books to burning them. Its the next logical step. Read Farenheit 451 it might help you understand.

Try editing your question as it is pretty poorly worded.

You can oppose all you want to what is being taught, but the fact is educators are only trying to expose our students to a variety of perspectives. That is what education is.

There is no need to have reference to "God" in a school text book. School is for education - not religion.

It certainly doesn't belong in ANY science book anywhere. "Science" and "God" are completely different areas of study....

Have you been listening to conservative hate radio again? It sounds like the clap trap spewed by Hannity, Limbaugh, or Coulter. Thus it isn't worth pursuing any farther.
