I have windows XP, and three profiles on a machine. My profile is the only one that freezes on the Internet. It has gotten to be quite a pain.

Short of creating a new profile for myself, is there anything I can do to fix the one I've already got created.

There are no viruses or spyware on the machine as I've checked many times.

The internet freezes when I go to sites with new windows or when I try typing in a URL...

Thanks!!!

Hmmm. .... it could be because of some firewall/anti-virus progrma in your computer( i am sure there is something like this), which has different settings for your profile only because of which its freezing up while accessing the internet. Try to disable the firewall/anti-virus just for couple of minutes (5-10minutes) & then try to connect to internet in your profile & check.

Or else, you can try doing an msconfig & disable all startup items & then check.

This should help you.
