Twice. Once, my kitchen caught on fire from a short in the wiring. The second time, in a different house, one we owned, a short caused a fire in the living room and the house burned to the ground. We got out with our lives and nothing more. And all that happened while it was snowing like mad!

No, but they came anyways. My roommate (a while ago) was burning a pizza upstairs. Alarms were going off and the security device called the fire dept. Downstairs we didn't hear a thing. I heard the doorbell and went upstairs to find 2 firetrucks full of guys trying to axe down the door.....
It was embarrassing.

YES. When I was visiting my folks in LAS Vegas The end of JUNE or the First of JULY. There was a fire in or near MESKETE,NV. that brought smoke towards Las Vegas, so I called Meskete fire dept. and told them how to contain it and then how to put the fire and smoke out all at the same time. Evidently they listened, now all fires and smoke in Nevada can be knocked out all at the same time.

sure, I managed a eating position for 10 years and had quite a few possibilities to call the fireplace dept. fortunately, none of those circumstances became out to be truly undesirable...the astounding boys in flourescent yellow were continually in a position to get the topic below administration very without delay.

Yes I call the fire department whenever I want to get ahold of my husband. He's a fireman. Sometimes I think the kids and I are his 2nd family instead of the other way around.

No...but i read in the paper something funny about a fire...a car was reported on fire on the side of the highway...when the fire department showed up they found the owner still inside the car on her cell phone with the engine in flames...when a fireman knocked on her window and asked her if she realized that her car was on fire she replied..."i know I'm calling my husband now to see what to do"....Honest to God true story was in the police reports
