in a 15 gallon tank i have 5 female guppies and 2 male one. one of them are still a youngling about 6 months old. but the big guppy had a big wobbly tail its kind of slow so the little fish attacked the big one and ate half its tail. will it grow back? btw i moved the little guy into the hatchling tank hes still 2 litttle to eat babies. btw the big male kind of justs sits at the bottom of its tank and whenever a gourami would come by it would once in a while swim up a little but soon come back down any suggestions?

Yes, the tail will grow back with time, but slowly. Obviously the male is keeping a low profile after being attacked like that, but as his tail grows back he will be fine again.

The tank is in basic terms too small. :( Is that truly a girl guppy or could a girl Gambusia (a.ok.a. dambusia) have been "by probability" substituted? Guppies have symmetrical gravid spots. Gambusia gravid spots are extra uneven and the girls folk are drab. Take the female, guppy or not, out and positioned her and a few tank water returned in her bag. return her to the shop. Please shop a watch on it. :)

Yes tails grow back.

I don't know why your guppy doesn't swim around...probably nervous. If you keep plants/rocks/wood in your tank it may become bold again, with some places to retreat to and hide it may be more willing to go out in the open and swim around.
