I always order my drinks with extra ice. But I swear, if I'm in a group of 3-4 people, my drink will always have the least ice!!! It really pi**es me off!!! I've gotten to the point where I usually order an extra glass of ice. I'm so happy to know there's someone else out there like me!!!

In my country, when we order a soft drink, the price includes a glass of ice-cubes. This is to say we are paying for the ice. Request for more ice-cubes from the vendor and if you are not satisfied with the service of the vendor, cafe or shop, go patronise another. Keen competition will give you good service.

No, but I dont want a lot of ice in my drink, just enough to get it nice and cold!!. I am a server and I will tell you a little secret...many servers, not me though, put a small amount of ice cubes in your drink if you drink alot of soda's in a very short time, yes that is wrong, but In my opinion I think it is rediculous to drink 3 soda's before the meal is even ordered!!!! That is just an example, I am not saying you do it, but my point is alot of people suck their soda's down sooo fast

I hate the other thing. When you pay 1.75 for a pop that you expect to be able to suck on all day because you have PMS and a Diet Pepsi on tap is the ONLY thing that will save you from kicking in the computer and when you get it it is filled with ice and about a 1/2 cup actual liquid...
But I hear they like warmer pop in Europe!?!

I feel that the more ice they put in, the less drink you get. And the more watered down your drink gets as the ice melts.
But that is only my opinion, obviously if you like more ice your opinion will be different!

It does not "make" me mad. Nothing can do that, you allow yourself to become mad.
More ice in a drink means less of the actual drink since ice is just water.
Ask for a glass of ice in addition to your drink for your preference.

Don't get upset. That's a lot of nothing to get upset about. I just ask for a cup of ice. The waiter/waitress instantly knows why and will be more attentive in the future for you and probably customers in the future.
Do it nicely. It's so much easier than getting upset.
Yes, it's happened to me. No, I don't get upset about it. Yes, the waiter/waitress ALWAYS gets me a cup of ice - usually with an apology.

it makes me more mad to order a 21 oz coke and have 16 oz of it be ice. THAT'S a waste. unless there are free refills, I ordered a coke, not a cup of ice

For me, having too much ice makes me irked. The soda gets all watery and gross. I don't base my tip on that, though. I hope you enjoy your more-water-than-soda soft drink!
