When I was in high school (about 6 or so years ago) I had a part time job at Pick and Pay and only got R5.50 an hour. I cant believe it has doubled since then. Inflation is about 2%, so by that calculation, it should be about R6.50.

I also suppose its depending on the job you do. But woa!!!
honestly? R6/h sounds like pocket money... (sorry if i've insulted anyone). My past post at a salon paid R20/hr...i worked 8:30pm to 5:30pm everyday except sunday and monday...

minimum wage depends on which sector you are talking about. right now it's about R1200, or R6.67 for 180 hours of work. thats less than 1 dollar a day. cheap bastards.
