I have witnessed several tornados in my life. As a child growing up in Oklahoma, we were in "tornado alley." Fortunately, I was never in a tornado. However, The tornado of 1978 that demolished a lot of Wichita Falls, Texas did come over my house, but had not dropped out of the sky at the time.

No, but I saw some funnel clouds spinning about. I also had recurring dreams of a tornado hitting our town, although the dream reflected on the tornado as very ****ty. The tornado pulled up a few blades of grass and no damage ever really happened in the dreams.

Nope, I've never seen a tornado in real life. I don't really get tornados in California. At least where I live. =)

Yes several times. I lived in Kentucky for 3 years. Lucky they were small ones and after heading straight for me took off in another direction. I'll take snow over tornados any day.

I've seen a funnel cloud twice

live in central Ohio

Once when about 7 years ago I saw all the cars on my way to work pulling off the the side of the road and their was heavy hail and strong winds.

Once I stood in a parking lot on my way home and noticed a funnel cloud I quickly took shelter. No touch down on that one, a lot of hail.

Yes. It's an unreal sight to see. I love seeing a funnel cloud form. They drop and then raise back up into the clouds. Then they descend to the ground and stir up the brush and dirt. I've never seen one hit a town but it is AMAZING to see one on the prairie. I once saw a massive one in Kansas that scared the bejeezus out of me.

Yes, several times sitting in a basement with blankets and looking out of the little window in Minot, North Dakota. A BIG furious, noisy one lifted up just before hitting my house....Amazing thing to see. Several crazy people went outside to see it as it was so very close and people wanted pictures. I stayed in the basement.

Fortunately, no one was hurt but there was overturned trees and dirt in a huge cow pasture when it was over.
