I hate them, at least in their current form. It's the whole "voting off" mentality... I mean, if you're going to eliminate someone, at least give us a chance to know them first. I mean, the majority of these shows begin eliminating people from the first episode! And if someone's going to "leave the island", let it be because the other contestants forced them off.
Plus, most of them are just really complicated game shows. It's like Jeopardy for the new millenium. The fact that it's a game tends to contradict the whole point of it being "reality". I'd much rather watch a show where the drama isn't created by the producers, but unfortunately that's what these shows seem like.

I believe the early seasons of MTV's real world were good and I would always have a laugh with blind date, but now I do feel like their is too much control from behind the scenes.
It's become such a big industry now that people try to make the jump in to tv shows and movies. So, when it was new like the early days of the real world people had no idea it would be here 20+ years later.

There nothing wrong wit reality shows, the network have to elminate someone the first episode. When someone gets voting off the first episode it's not like their first day it's been a whole week or longer. You the viewer is just not seeing it. Reality shows is whats in now.. just like fashion, cars have changed. reality is a new form of age, and it's a good way for people to express themselves and further they career.

I agree, reality shows r going to fall by the wayside or simply cross the line one too many times that people are going to be turned off by them.

yes. they all faked it in front of the camera.
and worst of all...the phone service provider makes loads of money from the text voters.
I mean SH*T LOADS of money ok!!!
