England....Is it just me or does it seem like nobody hates England because they dont get involved with others?

I dont know if I explained that right, but they seem like they think, you do your thing, we will do our thing and that is why no countries that I know of dislike them. Meanwhile the US seems to get involved with a lot of other countries which is why a lot of other countries hate the USA. What do you think??

I think its a misconception. The English have a long history of diplomacy. They have probably done their part to assist many nations to democracy. They are also a rather small nation, much as I love them, they have done their own conquering in the past, they have also had territories world wide. Look at South Africa and Canada.........so, now its our turn. The countries that don't like the US don't like other countries either, they only time they band together is when they want to attack the US. I could go on about this for hours so I will close now.

Re. our former colonies, it's simply because we had it all in terms of world power yet gradually let it go w/out totally collapsing like previous Empires. America is for the moment still at the top and there is no way of knowing which way things will go as new superpowers emerge and surpass. The trick is to remain respected, you don't know the French if you think everyone likes England! That's why they gave you the Statue of Liberty, their major war w. us at the time of your rebellion was v. helpful to them.

Lots of people hate the English,especially alot of American's on this site,we do however have our fingers in a lot of pies,probably too many.

well england is the only country that help's us out, were did you get your info, england has there foot in every country we do.and really the only one that back's us up.
