He was interested before, now he's interested and nervous about his next move. Give him time and still stay nice, but not forward.

It could mean several things, but my top two choices are
1. (bad) he thought you were hot but after talking to you found out you have absolutely nothing in common - or
2. (good sort of) he thinks you are hot and was having impure thoughts, but got to know you and feels kinda bad about it, cause there is more to you that he didn't think of.
Solution, ask him, "how do you feel about me?" it leaves you an out, cause you aren't putting yourself out there by saying, I like you and giving him the chance to say he doesn't.

There are two possibilties that make sense: 1. He met you and found out he isn't interested or 2. He met you and is interested but doesn't want to show it. Either way, move on!

Not necessarily a problem. Before he was on speaking terms, he could simply admire you and smile or look away if you noticed. Now, if you notice him looking, he has to think of something to say.

have you though that maybe he is just alot more comfortable around you now.
Cos when i first became friends with one of my mates , i had the same problem, i couldn't keep myself from looking at her ( yeah i know, its a guy thing ) , but after a while i just got comfortable with having her around all the time.

Maybe he's realized he doesn't want to be with you. That's why people talk, to get to know each other. OR! Maybe you said something that made him think you don't want him the same way he wants you.

He might be embarrass or shy. Ask him when the next class exam is to break the ice.
