You may teach YOUR child anything about this subject that you wish.

But you may NOT teach mine. What part of parenthood do liberals have such a problem with? The day you pay my bills and take responsibility for the actions of my child is the day you can tell me how to parent my child.

I am a Conservative and had no problem with my children learning about birth control. My concern was the curriculum and who was teaching it. As a parent I think it is my responsibility to know what is being taught to my children and if the person teaching it is qualified to do so. In addition to that I would want what they are being taught to be age appropriate. I did not have children to hand to the local school system or to the federal government. I guess I just don't have that herd mentality that it would take to be led around, maybe that's why I am a conservative.

We are not against it, we are against the government doing it. Just like welfare, social security, medicare, and all the other things the government does. We are not against any of these things, we are just against the government being in charge of them.

If you had ever read the Constitution of the United States of America, you would have read the 10th Amendment. It states that anything not explicitly stated in the constitution is the responsibility of the states and the people. This is what we are for, upholding the Constitution. All of these things are supposed to be controlled by the individual states so that Florida can do things differently than California.

See, we don't hate people, we just believe in obeying the Constitution.

Um, I don't know who's been telling you this stuff, but I'm a conservative and I am NOT against birth control or condoms. I only feel that kids should be warned that the only 100% effective form of birth control and STD protection is ABSTINENCE.

As the parent, I will teach my children about birth control. I don't need the village to pick an arbitrary age at which they need to know. There are some topics that should remain as a parent's right to choose when and how to discuss with their children.

Notice I did not say they should not be taight about these things, only that it should be the parents right to do this.

Because they don't need to be taught how to put a condom on. I teach my kids about the best birth control ever, you may have heard of it it is called abstinence before marriage and fidelity after marriage.

Im conservative, and im not against teaching it.
I would like my kids to know though, the smartest choice is waiting for the right person and geting married before having sex.

The way it has always been taught where im from is that its ok to have sex as long as its safe. I disagree with the way it is taught.

Kids should be taught to have respect for themselves, and then how to protect themselves.

I consider myself a conservative; I am pro choice, and I am all for birth control. We need to tear down the stereotypes of partisan politics, no two people share the exact same views.
