When you go to print there is a print option to let you change it from portrait (vertical) to landscape (horizontal). Select that option just before you go to print. If you are using Word you can go into File>Page Setup and do it from there if you want to keep the soft copy as a landscape. With Word, you can do this at any time.

Go to "File" on the header, you may have to use the drop down arrows to find "Page set up" After you find page set up, Click on "landscape" (Think of a picture of a landscape, they are almost always horizontal) and taht will change the setting. Go back and click on Portrait to get back to a normal setting. Good luck!
