Xbox is coming out with an xbox 360 black edition which is reported to have a 120gig hard drive. This new version of 360 is being marketed to compete with PS3.

So it's game on as far as the video game console wars.

Bill Gates is stepping down from MS, but Bill Gates was never responsible for the XBX or 360 to begin with except maybe suggesting the idea that MS go into the video game console business. Seamus Blackley, Ed Fries, and J Allard are the 3 people most responsible for the XBX and 360 (Seamus Blackley not so for the 360).

Bill Gates just provides the money to make the XBX and 360. He is also the spokesperson for XBX and 360 because he's the most recognizable person from MS.

bill gates isn't going anywhere. the original xbox isn't being produced anymore though. they have taken it off the floors of retail stores nationwide, mainly pushing the 360. xbox will continue producing games till 2008, but is calling it quits then. 360 is their main money maker now, and they will push more products with it. Ps2, Xbox's biggest competition, is still saying they will make games with it till at least 2009.
