People who obey gun laws are law-abiding citizens to begin with, so guess what ... outlaw guns and outlaws will still have them.

Guns are on the blackmarket. If you outlaw guns..you will just be taking them away from many law abiding people. Criminals and people who want to commit crime will turn to blackmarket to get their guns. Just look at prohibition. The U.S. outlawed alcohol in the 1920's and that did not stop people from drinking...all it did was get people to create underground bars, make alcohol in their bathtubs, and start organized crime.
Though you may see a decrease in gun related injuries in deaths (in some cases depending on how you look at the figures) you might then see an increase in stabbings and poisoning.
There is always a way around the law and there are always other options.

Prohibition doesn't work. Just look at the Era of Prohibition in US history. Crime levels hit the roof and drinking continued by now recently made criminals.
When you take away the ability of the citizens to protect themselves, esp. in a country as vast as the US, the citizens will be at the mercy of the outlaws that have the guns.

If everyone packed a gun with them at all time, then the criminals would not do violent crimes because they would be in fear of being shot. People can do violent crimes with a bat, knife, fork, box cutter, or just with force with hands. But remember, a gun trumps all. Armed citizens are the best way to stop violent crimes. It has been proven time and time again when states decide to issue carry permits, violent crimes plummet.

If they disarmed us, the only people who would have guns would be the police, the military and the thugs.
The thugs will always have them and will acquire them illegally.... Honest gun owners are the only ones who follow the rules...the thugs don't.
Gun Control won't work...unless you want to live in a country where only the police, military and thugs own all the weapons.
