I have gone to a casino by bus and to the last Worlds Fair by bus.
It cracked me up because I was the youngest one on the bus when
going to the fair. It also felt good because the older adults catered to me on that short trip.

Good god... Don't EVER take the Greyhound from the Port Authority in NY to Memphis TN. The LONGEST bus ride I have ever taken IN MY LIFE.
Here are the issues with my trip.

1) The fact that I'm 6 feet tall and I was cramped in that itty bitty seat all by myself for pretty much a 24 hour period sucks a little bit of donkey butt.

2) The good ol' southern boy who I made the mistake of telling him my name, and kept talking to me while he was sitting behind me on the whole trip. (insert eye roll here)

3) Buddy sitting in front of me and talking to me while I was trying to sleep.

4) Buddy following me into the Golden Arches for breakfast, when I pretty much made it obvious that I wanted to be left alone.

5) The crying babies wasn't all that great of an experience.

6) The crying babies because their diapers were dirty wasn't that great of a smell.

7) Buddy that kept talking to the Bus Driver when the Bus Driver was thanking us for riding with Greyhound... and mr. Southern boy yells out... "Well, thank you for driving us!" at 4:00 am.

8) Running out of Toilet Paper on the bus and having to hold it for almost a state.

9) No movies shown on the bus - although it would probably have been something boring and I would have fallen asleep anyway.

Not that I'm bitter or anything.

I travel a lot by bus when I'm in Europe, which is pretty efficient compared to the bus system here in the US; I hate Greyhound with a passion. I had to go back to Erie, PA when I was in Pittsburgh because of a family emegency. The only time it left was at 3:30 AM. I sat there for nine hours, and the bus had to go through Cleveland just for me to get home! It was completely ridiculous. A trip that should have taken 2 1/2 hours took seven! Never again if I can avoid it... I hate buses!

Being in a Drum & Bugle Corps in my High School years, I lived on a bus for 4 summers.

We are talking cross country trips sleeping on the bus as it drives all night to the next competition site.

I've been from New Orleans to Montreal on a bus.

Got some great stories I will be putting on my yahoo 360 blog about this including a confrontation with Indiana State Police at Gun Point.

We did daytrips in England and I took the bus to LA from Norhtern Ca when I was 14. I hated that one, the bus smelled like urine. The ones in England were great though. A friend of mine from England came to visit once and took greyhound all over the US, he loved it, but then he had a ton of friends to visit.

Greyhound bus from where I live to Los Angeles, then transferring to another one of the buses to go to Vegas with my choir to participate in a heritage festival...that was the longest bus ride - took 14 hours to get there.

I've been to the casino many times on the bus. I didn't enjoy it at all. Now, we have a car, so we don't have to ride the bus.

my grandma once took me on a cruise to Alaska, she thought it would be fun to go from Tacoma, WA to Vancouver, BC by bus..it was a long trip, but it was so neat to see the country side that not many people get to see..it was about a 3 1/2 hour bus ride..
