clarity for some responses: We realize there are 'white supremacist' groups but we are saying more groups that are arranged/created for positive gatherings within the caucasian race... would it automatically be thought of to have racist intentions if one was formed?

Because no matter what the purpose is whites will always be racist. You may or may not understand this I don't know you personally but try to imagine what would happen if all the straight people in the country organized a straight pride parade. We would immediatly be accused of discrimminating gays and lesbians. What the people of this country need to realize is that everyone (the majority) screams and hollers and yells that everyone needs to be equal therefore because you have it better than me that you should be drug down. The blacks and mexicans and japanese and chinese and all the other nationalities of this country CAN play the race card because they won. Whites are scared because they know that all the minorities put together ARE the majority. Ok kind of long and drawn out but to answer your question, no. It should not be ok for one race to get together and not another. That goes against what this country was supposedly founded on.

There's lots and lots of sororities and fraternities that are pretty much all white. And most of the black groups that you are referring to (such as the NAACP) have historically accepted members of other races. And why is everthing always about black and white. The asians sure as heck have their own very exclusionary social and business groups and nobody ever complains about them. Remember, most of the ethnic social and business organizations were founded during a time when EVERYTHING was white-focused and NOBODY else was allowed to participate. Non-white participation in most of these organizations is still low today, so people shouldn't get upset just because the ethnic organizations are still in existance. And furthermore, why does everyone assume that just because something is for or about black people, that it is automatically against white people? Just because something isn't focused on white people doesn't mean that it is "racist" or against them.

I think there are a lot more white groups out there than you think. They don't advertise themsleves as white groups, may not even think to call themselves white groups or to have bylaws excluding non-whites. It just doesn't occur to them that non-whites would want to join. And, it may not occur to non-whites to want to join. i.e. I've only ever seen one black bagpiper in my life, one could argue that pipers are a white group. And when I was a kid, my bowling team was all white. It could have been the demographic, I lived in a very white area, only one black family for miles (who didn't bowl)

I could be way out in left field on the next one, but I haven't heard about that many non-white civil war renactors. The guys I know who did that were all white.

That all said, I think you're very correct in your observation. Due to the long history of exclusionary practices, if an offically white only group tried to form, it would be shamed out of existance or it would have to meet secretly.

It's also okay for women to meet as a groups that exclude men, like women only gyms, but its not okay for men. However, I'm sure there are gyms out there that make sure that no woman feels comfortable joining.

White groups are not considered politcally correct. In todays world, whites are supposed to refrain from being members of a "white" group and are instead supposed to feel shame and remorse for what we have done to the Native Americans, the Blacks, the Japanese/Americans, the Mexicans, and any other non-white group out there. I just don't know how we live with ourselves.

When whites organize immediately people call it racist. If you don't think so try to organize an organization for whites similar to"The United ***** College Fund."

because if there was a white the non-whites will whine and call it racists. We can't have anything of our own in this society for some reason.
