The word on the street is that Deathly Hollows is all she wrote or will write about Harry Potter.

But then Arthur C. Clarke said he'd never so a sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey and he eventually did three. We'll just have to stay tuned. I like to see Harry go on to be an auror, Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher and eventually Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Its the last book in the series for sure.
But Jk might write more about the world of harry potter, e.g. An Harry Potter Encyclopedia.

Well, the only career Harry has thought about was to be an Auror.
But I think he might play Quidditch too.

It will be the last book because it's what she had always intended. Personally I think that Harry will die, not that I want him to be killed off, it just seems that it's the only way to bring the series to a conclusion. And I definitely don't think he'll grow up to be a teacher, he's never really been a fan of academics. I just can't see him going on to lead a normal life. It'll just be mediocrity to him.

This book really is the last one...

J.K. Rowling probably wants to retire from the HP business after this long. It's hard on her because she has to make things up to standard. That can be really tiring after awhile.

this is definitely the last book. jk rowling has said she wanted seven books, because there are seven years at hogwarts. she also said she wanted to make sure no one could continue the story.
