how can you tell if a louis vuitton bag is real or fake?

There is a stamp at the bottom and none of the pattern is upside down.

In the fake ones, it isn't legal to put in the leather tags that get sewn into the inside that say it's an authentic bag. Many designer brands have a leather label sewn into the interior that will say something about the bag, or just bear the Louis Vuitton label. Check inside the bag to see. If it's there, it's real. If it's not...it's fake. A lot of designer bag companies do this, including Coach.

The only way to be absolutely sure that your Louis is real is to purchase from an authorized dealer like Saks 5th Avenue, Neiman Marcus or a Louis Vuitton store. If you try to get a deal from Ebay, you run the risk of buying a fake (there are fakes that are so realistic) for a lot of money.

Know where you are buying it and from whom. If you want the real thing I would suggest one of their stores or the LV website. You can compare it to what you see there. The craftsmanship, look at the clasp, details, stitching around the seams and handles. What size and style are you looking at. Check the details is it a bucket purse? If So, does it have the brass feet. There are so many great knock off these days, I admit sometimes it is very hard to tell. If it is too good and you really want to know, take to a store and ask them to tell you.

check the tag sometime the name will be spelt wrong or u can check the website and look at the bag to see what the bag really looks like and u can tell the difference

If you go on eBay to the community area and go to purse forum those gals can help you. They really know what they are talking about. You can take a picture and upload to photo bucket and show them the purse in question. They will even tell you how to do that. Good luck!

I love designer bags but never researched LV bags because I just have never felt they were attractive (at all). So I don't know, good luck.

Look at the price. The more expensive one is the real thing. (Take it from a girl with experience).

Steal it and get caught.
If you are arrested for petty theft "it's a fake".
