How many people you can invite when you throw a party in SIMS 2?

Question

Whenever I throw a party in Sims 2 it only allows me too invite 2 sims over for the party. Before I was able to invite 4 sims to my party. Does any know how to change the number or how to modify it?

Its because of your game, the game (for some unknown reason) decides that you can only handle 2 sims at a party at a time. Here's a cheat to increase the number of sims you can invite:
intProp maxNumOfVisitingSims #

Just enter the number you would like but keep in mind how well your game plays. Most people put the number as 5 for easy gameplay.

I believe that that the number you can invite depends upon your video card (or the processor or ram) - which will limit the overall number of sims that you can have.

Have you two more sims in your family now? That may be why you can now only invite 2.

I think that it depends on how many friends the character has.
